This weekend, Capitol Hill bars will be participating in an Approve R71 Bar Crawl. The event starts Saturday night at a CH gay bar. From the organizers:
The Plan:
- Hosts and Team Members: Each bar will be assigned to a specific host (who will have enormous support) with 2 - 5 team members. The host will direct the action and be in charge of specific logistics for their location. If you’re good with people and know how to organize, we need you! If you would like to be a host, please FB or email me at jcastle77@gmail.com and let me know your top THREE choices of bars.
- Table and materials: The host and team members will have a table located prominently in the bar with volunteer sign up forms, donation jar, posters, fliers, and stickers.
- Cheer Squad: A gang of outrageously wild, flamboyant, & hyper individuals who will run around from bar to bar getting attention, waving huge Approve 71 signs & stickering everyone. They will jump up and down dancing, laughing, singing, skipping, stay for 15-20 minutes, then go to the next bar. They will leap from one bar to the next, run around in the streets between, and try to visit every bar once or twice. Does this description fit you? Then YOU have just joined the Cheer Squad! If you want to dress up in drag, in just a thong, or whatever outrageous outfit you planned to wear for Halloween that's a HUGE PLUS. Glitter, blinky lights, and splashy bright colors are all great!!!
